November

I haven't blogged since June!! How can that be? What happened? What have I been doing for so many months? Well... not much, I guess...

But now is November, and like last year, I've joined Art Every Day Month. The goal is to be creative every day. I'd like that. Yes, I want it!

So here's what I've done so far in November.

I'm so glad to be back at journaling and blogging. Hopefully it will last for long! Oh...I like this!!

I apologize

for not updating my blog for such a long time. I've been so busy finishing my master thesis and with life in general, so I haven't been able to blog. I meant to let you know about my "blog break", but....

I'm back now. My goal is to update this blog at least once a week. It will be fun! I already have plans for some upcoming blogposts. Stay tuned!! :D

When you wish upon a star...

-on making unconscious wishes & the happiness when they come true.

This is a page from my handsewn "Crap Journal". It was made some time late in March..
I used various paper for collage and painted with acrylic paint. The cat was colored with water-soluble wax pastels from Caran D'ache.

It is not especially pretty this page...
...but isn't it kind of funny how you can let your mind rest and things happen coincidentally when you are in the "flow" of creating.

I never planned for the cat and the text on that page, it all happened unintentionally. Sometimes I think it is my unconsciousness trying to tell me something. I know I've wanted a cat in my life again since the day I was 11 years old and had to part with the cat I'd had in my life for 9 years. That was the saddest moment for me...! kind of like losing my best friend.

I never planned for a cat in my life right now (even though I want it), but things kind of start happening when you make a wish (even without knowing in the process of doing it). 2-3 weeks later, The Universe started working to make my wishes come true. If you want to know what happened, you can read my previous post.

This was just what I needed. I hope it lasts forever!

I think I'm (some kind of) a mother...

My friends cat, Luna, had kittens. They are the most cutest kittycats EVER!!! :D I heart them.

My friend wanted to put both of them to death (she already have 3 cats and couldn't keep them herself), so I "took over". I'm sure I'll find a way to keep them happy and alive.

After feeding her babies, Luna will go back home to my friends house. I'm just kind of "lending her" for a few months.

These cuties were born April 3rd.

this little one is having trouble getting milk from his/her mother, so we've been feeding him/her babycat-milk day and night (every 2-3 hours).

I'm so happy to se the belly growing. The weight on this one now is 130 g!! The brother/sister has now reached 210 g, so the difference is still huge. But they both look very strong and healthy now.

I lovelovelove them!!

Here's the "small one" falling asleep in my hand after drinking 7 ml babycat milk.

I love to hear him/her purring.

Both of them sleeping together (the "small one" to the left). I still don't know if they are male or female (or which one is what), but I'll have a closer look real soon to find out.

Now we just have to find names for them :D.
Any suggestions??
