AEDM: Day 12. Art Journaling on the edge

I won
"Wide Open, Inspiration and techniques for Art Journaling on the edge by Randi Feuerhelm-Watts"
three years ago (in a blogdraw). Yippiiee! :D

This notebook is so pretty I didn't want to use it untill now. I kind of didn't want to ruin it.

There is also 50 cards with loads of journal inspiration. Look how pretty they are!

This text is from one of the cards. Aren't they great?!

Below are pictures of some of the pages in the journal with finished backgrounds. So much prettyness!

Let's see what I did with some of the pages...

November is Art Every Day Month!

I have three "projects" that I'm working on right now. A pillow for a friend who just moved in to a new apartment. I've just learnt to knit like this.
It is a lot of fun, actually.

And cotton trousers for my son. He will be 10 months old in 7 days. Oh how time flies!
I have the last leg to knit+some cool pockets, then I'm done.

This is a collage I made one evening in the beginning of November. I glued papers, added stickers, then painted over it with light gesso. The result got so dull, I think the whole thing needs more color. I'm not sure what to do, but I've gotta do something.
I could also leave it just as it is, to remind me that I didn't make it for the end result.
I was in "the flow" and I had fun making it.

So today is Day 11 of AEDM (Art Every Day Month). Am hoping to do at least one thing creative today.
I might be working on one of the 3 projects above (or all of them), or I'll do something completely different.
Hopefully I'll do something.

I'll let you know in my next post  -coming soon!

See ya later... -alligator!

The Graveyard Book

If you haven't already read this book written by Neil Gaiman, make sure you do!!
I just finished the book today, and it was the most amazing book I've read in a very long time. When I finished reading the last page in the book, I felt like I wanted to start it all over again. That doesn't happen very often to me with books. I think I'll have to read it again later, just not right now.
So many books -so little time!

To get to know a little bit about what the book is about, follow the link to have a look inside it at amazon. Then go get the book!

In this post, I wanted to show you what I've knitted for my son. It is still a bit big for him, but I'm happy with the result...and it has cats on it!!

6 postcards made

iHanna is hosting a postcard swap this year, too. It was so much fun last year, so I just had to join in again. I can't wait to start receiving homemade postcards from around the world. These are the postcards I made this far. They will be travelling to New Zealand, Korea, Finland, Romania, Portugal, Canada and USA. I'm so excited! And a big thanks to Hanna for organizing the swap.!

Here`s my son, Isak. He is 2 months old now, and I can't get enough of him. Isn't he just adorable?

I've knitted a few things to him already
