blahblahblah (I just came from work and I have no energy)

I can't believe it has been a week already since my last post... But oooh, I have so many excuses for not posting. I have been spending time with a veryvery special friend that came for visit. Meeting again was pure joy :D
And I have been working WAAAY too much! I'm getting tired of that sometimes; but but...
A girl needs to eat, right?! So work is good...

And last but not least I have been receiving Suzi love and practicing how to draw pretty pretty girsl (they are not pretty yet; but I believe they will be!! I Can't wait to practice shading and making them older/younger. And I want to make nice nice dresses for them.
Am gonna do that today. YEY!!

Here are some girls I sketched on Thursday.

I just finished reading this book.

Barnes & Noble:
From the Publisher
Fifteen-year-old Kambili's world is circumscribed by the high walls and frangipani trees of her family compound. Her wealthy Catholic father, under whose shadow Kambili lives, while generous and politically active in the community, is repressive and fanatically religious at home.
When Nigeria begins to fall apart under a military coup, Kambili's father sends her and her brother away to stay with their aunt, a University professor, whose house is noisy and full of laughter. There, Kambili and her brother discover a life and love beyond the confines of their father's authority. The visit will lift the silence from their world and, in time, give rise to devotion and defiance that reveal themselves in profound and unexpected ways. This is a book about the promise of freedom; about the blurred lines between childhood and adulthood; between love and hatred, between the old gods and the new.

I highly recommend it. It is a bit sad, though. I almost started crying on the bus...

I bought some art supplies...

Oil pastel crayons (I was hoping they were watercolor crayons, but when I came home I realized they were not). the colors are nice though. I'll just have to get use to drawing with oil pastels; they are really fun to smudge, but not easy.decopatch glue
one scrap-book paper
and circle stencils. I was supposed to buy circle templates for Suziblu's class. This was the only one I could find; just hope they will do
and one acrylic color (antique green)

and here are today's journal pages (so far)
decoupage fun including flowers

I tried out drawing...

here's the journal page I'm working on right now.
I always wanted my journal to be filled with lots of little drawings and stuff, but it just never happened. It seems a lot of things just never happen in life. Until you do something about it! So I tried today. This is what came out. Now I just need to practice, practice, practice...
and another one that is not finished either. I'm not good at finishing things :)

Some art supplies gathered together on a small-small table (I can't wait to buy more)
the table in front of me right now. I'm such a big art journal nerd :D

Visiting the kitties...

and later on Luna came to visit me... She needed food -again :D

...and today

I finished this one while drinking coffee this morning.

Pic's from yesterday...

I realized I haven't done much writing here...

I know I've said it before, but am saing it again... Maybe I'm scared writing will make my blog too personal? ...or maybe it is just more time consuming? Cause then I have to make sure the english is correct; I'll have to think before I write (so that I don't end up writing a lot of crap); but I think the main reason is that I can't understand how something I write here can be of interest for others. So that's why I always just post pic's and write few lines... But I'll try to get better. I just get annoyed when I feel like I am writing a diary; then leaving it open for other's to read... "blush"
I guess I'll just have to convince myself that this is nothing like a diary. It is just sharing thoughts; sharing everyday things; with other people that are doing the same thing.

And the fun thing is... people can respond to it!!! :)

How I just love Kate Bush today!!

I'm ready for August!!

I bought a new watch today. Nice huh? So I'm now busy checking the time every 20 minutes:D I've wanted a watch for such a long time now. And I got payed today; and thought I should buy myself a "summer gift".
Did you buy yourself a gift lately? I think you deserve it!!!

Actually I planned to post some art journal pages here today; but then I realized I've only made backgrounds lately; so those pages will come later...

I've made some Polymer clay things this week. Have a look :)

If you like them; and post a comment here; I'll make a draw ;)
But really, they are not perfect, and they may have my fingerprints on them. (I don't have those kind of fancy Fimo Clay roller and all that stuff). So if you like Not-so-perfect fimo-clay-things, then post a comment ;) You might win yourself a "Summer Gift"!!
