Sweet Escape...

I have to get into my studies again. This might be a small blog-break (but I don't know yet).

Maybe I might escape from the books now and then; but right now my studies have to be my main ocupation till I finish my master thesis.
I feel that lately blogging and Art Journaling has been something taking me away from my books and making me to relax and play instead of stressing and writing

Right now I have to make art journaling and blogging a REWARD (as there is no escape anymore!!).. OMG, time is running short!! I have to hurry up and finish with my studies.

So... unless I be a very good school-girl, there will be no blogging and no art journaling for me...

But don't you worry. I'll be back. When there is less stress and more TIME TO PLAY ..

Working in my new "Art Journal"

it is an altered book; a book I bought at a thrift store in town.

it is funny how my style change with the book. I am no longer working on plain white paper, which means the pages have to be covered (at least parts of them) with gesso, acrylics, watercolors, scrap papers etc.

I haven't done so much drawing and writing yet, but I'm sure I'll try that out too

I'm really happy with the drawing I started.

Materials: charcoal, pastels and ink

Drawing with charcoal was a whole new experience to me. I loved how you can add charcoal to the page, then wipe it out. After some time of doing that; I started turning the paper around and then I recognized the hair and the girls chin.
I had now found my "object" and then made the ocean and the sky.
The most fun part was adding the colors and lines.
